JOB TITLE:  Regional Business Sales Director

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

 Aggressively pursues new business opportunities, develops key relationships, and actively sells all Ellsworth products and services.

Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.

Effectively explains products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best tailored to their needs.

Has the ability to sell in a highly competitive environment, knows how to win with integrity and sell value not just a price point.

 

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for Ellsworth’s products and services.
  • Proactively prospects and completes daily activities necessary to keep sales funnel full and manageable.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Travels within the market as needed to generate appropriate funnel building activity.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Researches and analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer’s value to the organization (forecast).
  • Identifies advantages and compares Ellsworth’s products/services to the market.
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Stays current on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Highly skilled in use of Salesforce CRM.
  • Participates in selected trade shows and conventions.

REPORTING:

Reports directly to the SVP, Strategic Growth Officer

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must possess 2+ years of experience in selling/servicing to the Banking/Financial Services and/or the retail commercial sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • Positive attitude and financially astute.
  • Proficient at cold calling both by phone and in person.
  • Highly competitive personality with ability to build customer trust quickly and knows how to win new business ethically.
  • Must have successfully completed a professional sales training course or courses.
  • Proficient at sales funnel management and ability to close at a 30% or higher rate as a percent of proposals given.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
  • Must be highly results oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and Sales (SalesForce) CRM systems.
  • Sales and/or Marketing experience required with emphasis on acquiring new business and managing customer accounts.
  • High ticket equipment or security sales experience preferred.
  • Motivated and self-driven to learn.
  • High energy and possess unquestionable integrity.
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned market
