Position Title:Director, Electronic Security Systems 
Manage the Security Systems Division for ESI by performing the following:  

  • Identify new security system project opportunities and work towards meeting ESI sales goals for the Security Systems Division      

  • Manage projects to deliver successful security system implementations by meeting project requirements and adhering to industry and company standards  

  • Ensure availability of funds for acquisition of materials and equipment required for projects 

  • Manage project staffing and resource labor hours as needed 

  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and schematics 

  • Participate in on-site project meetings and provide updates to ESI management and sales team 

  • Identify risks and provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most time and cost-efficient security systems and access control methods 

  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting of issues and problems 

  • Inspect quality of finished projects to ensure conformation of all specifications and requirements  

  • Program and test installed security systems and provide orientation to customers as necessary 

  • Support business development function during project bidding processes to ensure all costs associated with labor and materials are effectively captured  

  • Provide leadership and training to a team of Electronic Security Technicians while performing/supervising security installations that include Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems  

  • Remain proficient with newly released products, upgrades and software programs related to low voltage systems 

  • Maintain compliance with prevailing OSHA regulations and enforce use of protective equipment at project locations, as required  

5+ years of expert experience in commercial Access Control, CCTV, Intercom and Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems  

Experience with Structured Cabling, Emergency Call, Intercom and/or Audio Visual Systems  
Ability to read and comprehend a blueprint and Statement of Work to design favorable security solutions based on predetermined specifications  

Knowledge of mechanical retrofitting of door frames and gates for electric strikes and magnetic locking devices; and peripheral devices (motion sensors, RTE, push buttons and contacts)  

Knowledge of programming and training onsite client personnel in numerous Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection system features and functionality  

Knowledge and practical experience with Internet and Networking on commercial systems  

Ability to lead and direct subordinate personnel through project completion  

Excellent interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills  

Must be able to function independently or as key member within a team environment  

Proficient in industry standards for ADA and building safety codes  
Ability to stand for extended periods of time  
Ability to crawl through confined spaces  
Ability to climb and function on elevated positions (lifts and ladders)  
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and raise objects overhead  
Must possess a High School Diploma  
Must be able to communicate (read and write) in the English language  
Must be able to perform basic math functions  
Industry certification highly desirable, but not required  
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is a plus
